Refund policy
This Returns & Refunds Policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returning goods purchased from The Bitcoin Miner Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Your rights will vary depending on whether you are purchasing as a consumer or in the course of business.
1. Consumer Purchases (Distance Selling)
If you are purchasing as a consumer (not in the course of business), you may have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
1.1 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
You have 14 calendar days from the day after delivery to cancel your order.
To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing within the 14-day period.
You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
1.2 Conditions for Return
Returned items must:

Be unused and in original condition

Include all original packaging, accessories and documentation

Not have been installed, powered on, configured or connected
Due to the nature of ASIC mining hardware, equipment that has been powered on or configured may not qualify for return unless faulty.
You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.
We recommend using an insured and tracked service, as you remain responsible for the goods until received by us.
1.3 Refunds
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or proof of return), using the original payment method.
We may make deductions for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
2. Faulty or Damaged Goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be:

If a product is faulty, you must notify us as soon as reasonably possible.
2.1 Within 30 Days of Delivery
You may be entitled to a full refund if goods are confirmed to be faulty.
2.2 After 30 Days
We may offer:

Replacement

Refund (if repair or replacement is not possible)
Fault assessment may require return of the product for inspection and/or manufacturer evaluation.
Damage caused by:

Improper installation

Incorrect electrical supply

Environmental conditions

Unauthorised modification

Firmware alteration not approved by the manufacturer
is not considered a manufacturing fault.
3. Business Customers
If you are purchasing in the course of business:

The 14-day cooling-off period does not apply

Returns are accepted only at our discretion

Special order, wholesale and configured items are non-refundable unless faulty
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following are generally non-returnable unless faulty:

Custom-configured or specially ordered hardware

Opened or used ASIC miners

Firmware-modified equipment

Clearance or end-of-line items

Consultancy or digital services once delivered
5. Return Procedure
To request a return:

Contact us at support@thebitcoinminer.co.uk with your order number and reason for return.

Await confirmation and return instructions.

Securely package the goods.

Ship using a tracked and insured service.
Returns sent without prior authorisation may be refused.
6. Refund Processing
Refunds are issued to the original payment method only.
We are not responsible for delays caused by banking providers or payment processors.
7. Mining Risk Disclaimer
Cryptocurrency mining hardware is commercial equipment operating in a volatile and technically sensitive environment. We do not accept returns based on:

Changes in cryptocurrency price

Perceived profitability

Market conditions
