Overview

The Bitmain Antminer E11 series was introduced by Bitmain to target the Equihash proof-of-work algorithm used by coins such as Zcash (ZEC), Horizen (ZEN), and other Equihash-compatible networks. The E11 9500M represents one of the higher-hashrate variants in this series, offering near-top throughput for its generation.

Typical operating specifications for this model include a hashrate around 9500 MH/s with power consumption in the vicinity of 1,850–2,100 W, depending on environmental conditions, airflow, and PSU efficiency. The E11 line was released in mid-2020, making it part of a generation that focused on increased efficiency and stability compared with earlier Equihash miners.

Bitmain equipped the E11 9500M with advanced cooling and ASIC binning to maintain stable performance during extended 24/7 operation, with firmware and dashboard support consistent with other Bitmain devices.

Released in January 2025 as part of Bitmain’s Antminer E Series, the E11 runs on a 230V supply and draws 10.96A. It connects via RJ45 Ethernet (10/100M) for stable network integration and uses advanced air cooling technology to support reliable, long-duration operation.

Overall, the Antminer E11 9500Mh delivers a balanced combination of hash power, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. For operators targeting EthereumPoW with dedicated hardware, it represents a practical and well-positioned solution capable of supporting both scaling operations and long-term deployment strategies.

Manufacturer

Bitmain is a leading global manufacturer of cryptocurrency mining hardware, with a reputation built on the widely adopted Antminer product line. Founded in 2013, Bitmain has been at the forefront of ASIC design, producing hardware for multiple proof-of-work algorithms including SHA-256 (Bitcoin), Scrypt, Ethash families, and Equihash.

The Antminer E11 series reflects Bitmain’s strategy of expanding beyond Bitcoin and Litecoin-style mining into other algorithm families. Bitmain’s extensive experience in ASIC design, supply chain scale, and firmware ecosystem support makes its products accessible to retail miners and large-scale operations alike.

Efficiency

The Antminer E11 9500M typically achieves an efficiency in the range of about 0.19–0.22 J/MH (joules per megahash) when operating under normal conditions. This reflects the electrical energy consumed to perform one megahash of Equihash computational work.

Efficiency for Equihash mining is a key consideration for retail miners, especially in EU and UK markets where electricity costs are typically higher than in some other regions. The E11 9500M’s efficiency places it within the mid-tier class of earlier Equihash ASICs, delivering competitive throughput for the era of its release while balancing power draw.

Algorithm

The Antminer E11 9500M runs the Equihash proof-of-work algorithm, a memory-oriented hashing algorithm designed for networks such as Zcash (ZEC), Horizen (ZEN), Komodo (KMD) and other Equihash-based coins.

Equihash’s design focuses on memory hardness and asymmetric proof generation, and ASICs like the E11 series are engineered to accelerate this work far more efficiently than general-purpose CPUs or GPUs. Mining software and pools that support Equihash networks can typically configure the E11 to operate on the desired coin with minimal setup.

Lifespan

As with most ASIC miners, the Antminer E11 9500M has an operational lifespan that depends on factors such as cooling, dust management, and power quality. In a home mining environment with stable ventilation and clean power, these units can operate reliably for 3–5 years before performance degradation or heat stress becomes a limiting factor.

Given that the E11 series was first released in 2020, this model is considered a mature generation device. While newer Equihash miners (if available) or shifts to other algorithms and coins affect long-term competitiveness, the E11 9500M can remain serviceable for legacy pools and coin networks where Equihash remains relevant.
